Teologia Intercultural como Teologia Intermediária

Desde o início do século XXI, o termo teologia intercultural vem ganhando cada vez mais força. Ao mesmo tempo, os termos cristianismo mundial e antropologia do cristianismo também se estabeleceram. Este artigo investiga o perfil da teologia intercultural em comparação com os outros dois termos e define o assunto como teologia entre-meios em relação a fatores como público, mídia, poder, metodologia, pluralidade e conectividade. Olhando para o futuro, o autor identifica os desafios atuais e propõe que a teologia intercultural deve ser entendida como uma disciplina descritiva e normativa, que a força motriz por trás dela é a reivindicação da verdade universal-missionária da mensagem de salvação do Novo Testamento e que – como uma disciplina com uma orientação principalmente sistemática – ela está comprometida com uma compreensão abrangente da realidade e da teologia.
